The Expedition / A Expedição

             It all started when we were planning what to do with the three-month slot in which work is slow, school is out, and Brasília becomes something like a ghost city, and subsequently a little depressive. Europe? It would be enough time, but after last Christmas in the snow, we decided: Why suffer? When we live in the Tropics! We barely know the Northeast of Brasil, which is considered paradise by so many and while there’s so much hype about Mexico, the South Pacific Islands, and the Gold Coast, we barely know the paradise we live next to. So getting to know the coastline of the 9 States of the Northeast has been a long lasting dream we both have. Why not now? Single, Freelancers with flexible schedules, healthy, Crazy about travelling and discovering new places and the people that come with them, a LOT of energy to spare and no reason not to! It was decided.  Three months! The Goal: from Brasília – to Maranhão (take a look at your maps, believe me, considering Brasil’s continental dimensions, and the huge diversity from one state to the next, some the size of a country in Europe. if we make it, it will be quite the feat!). Lets see how far up we get?!

             We will be sharing different moments of the trip for fellow travelers, family and friends. Not all posts will be Bilingual, so get your Google translators on.          Tudo começou quando discutíamos o que fazer com a nossa “fatia” de três meses durante os quais o trabalho fica meio “parado” e não tem aulas, época em que é possível sair em Brasília e atravessar a L2 norte a sul sem ver uma alma viva,  a cidade literalmente fica assombrada. Planejávamos viajar pela Europa, mas por que sofrer no frio e na neve?  Se vivemos nos trópicos e podemos curtir o nossa verão por aqui.  Conhecemos pouco o Nordeste Brasileiro considerado paradisíaco por tantos.  E mesmo que existe muito bafafá sobre México, As praias do Caribe,  ou as Ilhas Pacificas , pouco conhecemos o paraíso ao nosso lado. Conhecer o litoral dos 9 estados do Nordeste Brasileiro tem sido um sonho nosso por muito tempo. Então por que não agora?  Freelas com horários flexíveis, boa saúde, jovens com MUITA disposição e energia, Piradas por viajar e conhecer lugares novos com todas as historias e pessoas que os acompanham. Estava decidido. Três meses! A meta: Brasília- Maranhão. Vamos ver até onde chegamos?!

     Vamos “blogar” diferentes momentos da viagem com nossos amigos, famílias e companheiros de viagem. Nem todos posts serão bilíngues, depende da disposição.
